Ichiro Shoji is a licensed Acupuncturist in MA. He graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture in Watertown (now in Worchester), MA in 2002. He was an apprentice of Mr. Kuwahara for 5 years studying Japanese Hari Style Meridian Therapy. After his apprenticeship he has worked with patients of all ages at his own practice in Salem, MA. In his practice, his areas of focus are pain management. He has successfully helped manage various pain issues such as low back pain, sciatica, knee pain, shoulder pain, neck pain, ankle pain, headache, jaw pain or menstrual pain. He is also researching various manipulative and energy therapies.
Masa is a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist in Massachusetts since 2004. He is a graduate of NESA (New England School of Acupuncture) and learned Chinese style acupuncture and Herbal medicine. Following his graduation from NESA, he spent 3 years as an apprentice of Mr. Kuwahara and was trained in Japanese Hari Style Meridian Therapy at Culia Ki Clinic. Masa has started his own practice since 2007 in Greater Boston and South Shore area after the completion of apprenticeship. In addition to the art of Oriental Medicine, he has great interest in fermentation and is happy when making miso, natto and Japanese pickles in his free time. He wants to broaden his knowledge in fermented foods to include cheese, menma, dried fish, sake and other foods.
Roseli Schimanski graduated from MCPHS - New England School of Acupuncture (NESA) in 2018. She is licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Medicine in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine and is a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She is also certified in Auriculotherapy by the Auriculotherapy Certification Institute in California. Roseli started her studies in Japanese Hari Style Meridian Therapy under Mr. Kuwahara in 2014. She has taken an apprenticeship at Culia Ki Clinic as well as many of the Advanced Continuing Education Courses taught by Mr. Kuwahara. She has been working at Culia Ki Clinic since May 2022 and is specializing in Shonihari (treatment for Kids).
John Vivas is an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and an Associates degree in the field of Physical Therapy. He has over 10 years of experience working with and helping clients in the personal training and physical therapy settings. John has managed therapy studios, gyms, and worked in physical therapy clinics, utilizing many different manual therapy techniques and massage therapy techniques to help clients improve their movement and overcome chronic pain. These techniques can include PNF stretching, corrective exercise, trigger point therapy, glide cupping and traditional cupping. These can help with muscular imbalances due to lifestyle factors such as sitting for long periods of time, poor posture, side sleeping, playing sports or even exercising can attribute to chronic pain. John’s ultimate goal is using gentle movements and exercises to help people move efficiently and manage pain.
